COVID-19 update and implications for Tasracing Off The Track Clinics
COVID-19 update and implications for Tasracing Off The Track Clinics
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is posing challenges to all sections of our community. After careful consideration, Tasracing have made the decision to postpone the commencement of the Off The Track clinics for 2020.
This decision has not been made lightly, and has taken into account government and expert medical advice. The decision is also in line with a number of other local community and sporting organisations who have made the decision to suspend their respective events and competitions.
We understand many people in the racing and equestrian communities will be disappointed with this decision, however, our number one priority is the health and safety of our industry, community, and their families.
Telephone and email support will be available for anyone requiring immediate assistance with an Off The Track horse. To access this support or for a general discussion on the program, please contact Belinda Lewis, Animal Welfare Manger on telephone (03) 6212 9311 or b.lewis@tasracing.com.au
As this is a rapidly and continuously evolving situation, Tasracing will continue to review our position and keep you informed.
