Name: Aventador

Breed: Thoroughbred

Horse description

Aventador is looking for a new home

10 years old (turning 11)
Chestnut gelding
16.3 hands

The following description has been provided by Aventador’s carer:

Needs an experienced, capable and confident handler/rider.
NO BEGINNERS or NERVOUS Riders. Experience with retraining OTT an advantage.

Retired from racing a little over 12 months ago and hasn’t done anything since.

Has had a tendon injury in the past, so for this reason, Aventador is not suited to a highly competitive home but would suit someone with a solid horsemanship, ground control background, who wants to help a horse find his brave and potentially, down the track, do some low level dressage, clinics, adult riding etc or even just liberty style work and/or companion.

Can be tricky to catch and bit full of himself but certainly not nasty. Paddocks well with others, prefers a friend nearby or sharing the same paddock. Good to trim feet, worm, rug. Has not been ridden or floated in over 12 months. Arrived by truck.

Ideally looking for a person to give him all the attention he needs to build trust and confidence, from which I believe he would give you his all. Needs a knowledgeable horse person to give him understanding and guidance.

Best of homes only. References required.

Photos of condition, as at 18th June, on one hard feed per day, paddocked and grass hay only
