I’ve had Smokey Mac since March 2021 here on King Island.

He is a very handsome Bay, 6 years old and around 15.2hh. He is the boss in the paddock, first to come and greet, easily caught and drenched, tie, good for farrier, dream to lead, bold when out and about. He loads and unloads well but tends to neigh and pour when travelling on his own. He canters nicely but can pace when anxious.

There is no fee for him but the transport from King Island would have to be paid by the new owners (approx. $880 to Stanley).

We have done a ton a groundwork and he has had a month of riding with a local lady (very experienced and a formed track rider in QLD). He is forward and not your average Standie and because I am an older rider, he is not really suited to me. If I was 20 again I would keep him 😉

Since I have owned him, he has matured in body and mind and has grown. He would make a competitive endurance mount or a trail riding horse as he is brave. He would require a capable rider as he has not been ridden in 10 months.
