Petstock Nutritional Support
As racehorses retire and move into new pet lives or careers, there can be a significant change in their nutritional requirements.
The Petstock Nutritional Support initiative can assist new owners in understanding and managing their retired racing horse’s transition from a full racing feed program and onto a new diet.
Petstock has pleasure in partnering with Off The Track Tasmania to subsidise the provision of two bags of Hygain or Mitavite Feed to eligible horse owners/lessees.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to Standardbred and Thoroughbred horses which are:
- Bred for racing in Tasmania, or
- Bred outside Tasmania but raced and retired in Tasmania and
- Recently retired from racing (retirement date within the last 12 months) and domiciled in Tasmania and
- New owners/lessees must have taken ownership within the last 30 days
- Support is available one-time-only for each eligible horse
- New owner agrees that their details can be sent to Hygain and Petstock for the purposes of providing the Hygain feed and advice only.
How to redeem your Petstock voucher
- Apply via the application form here.
- Tasracing will review your application and if eligible, email you to confirm your approval, and provide the Hygain call centre link for nutritional advice and mail your unique code Petstock vouchers to you within 2 weeks of approval.
- Please contact the Hygain call centre to discuss which products will best suit your horse BEFORE you select your feed, as returns are not accepted by Petstock.

The expiry date of the Vouchers is printed on the voucher, and cannot be changed or extended, nor vouchers re-issued for loss, expiry or any other reason.

Petstock may make available further instore discounts, Loyalty Program and offers from time to time, however these offers together with customer information requests and any terms and conditions, shall be expressly agreed between Petstock and the horse owners, and are outside this initiative.
