Jo McFarlane
Jo is currently completing a Level 3 Coaching Certificate – the highest recognised equestrian Coaching Certificate available in Australia. She is also a Coach Educator, and mentors and supports coach development in Tasmania. Jo has experience working with all types of horses, having trained and had success with several OTT thoroughbreds in the Olympic disciplines of dressage, showjumping and eventing.
‘My experience enables me to support the OTT horse by guiding the owner with horse health, feeding, saddlery fit and bitting advice. The match of horse and rider is also important. I have a strong focus on psychology to support both horse and rider in their skill development’.

- National Pony Club team’s coach in 1991, to New Zealand
- Groundwork principles based on Steve Brady and Adam Sutton principals. The methodology is that of a relaxed horse, understanding cues and exercises on the ground before completing them under saddle.
