Sarenne ‘Ren’ was bred at Armidale Stud in Tasmania,  by Alpine Eagle, out of Tycoon Sali in 2018.

She was trained by Barry Campbell and raced only a couple of times during 2021 – 2022,  before retiring in April 2022.

In October 2022, I made application for Off The Track Tasmania Subsidised Lessons, and was pleased to be given the lessons with my selected coach Pip Godfrey.  Pip, Ren and I worked hard and I am proud to say that we made good use of the OTT program and completed all the 10 lessons!

Pip’s approach was so calm and patient and confidence building.

At the start I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep Ren and was nervous riding her. We now have a great bond and she is a fun horse.  I’ve done a lot of work at home between lessons with her. She’s even moved cows on our property!

Ren has recently attended her first ETAS showhorse training day at the Tasmanian Equestrian Centre, having lessons there with the competent Tania Hay.
